Today was a rainy day. So was yesterday. Please God. Dont let it rain anymore. But that doesnt mean dont rain for a long time. Please dont let it rain tomorrow. Im going out. :D Today, i went to school for a PAL3 follow-up session, AND, i was drenched even though i had a brolly. Go watch the news. Its finally flooding in Singapore. (:

When i reached the school, i found Fionna as wet as i am. LOLS. She was drying her socks even though there is no sun. Everyone wasnt as bad as us. While waiting, Jacq had a bet with us what time the rain would stop. I bet the earliest, today 4PM. Mangay had the latest, tomorrow 3PM. (: Than Mrs Nair came and opened the door, so we left our wet shoes and socks near the door to dry. While waiting for more people to drift in, we practised the dance and came up with a team name. We were called Jacq's Crew. Our actions was to stomp our foot, raise a hand and go Aye aye, Captain! :D

The first game was musical chairs, with a twist. We formed a circle, with our notebooks in the middle. We had to dance till the music stops, then grab a book and sit down. Haha, it was fun laa. The second game was called Walt Disney. We had to walk across the room, imagining we are him and using his character to help us. Qiuyi wasnt feeling well, poor thing! Fionna, as usual went crazy again. :D The third game was my favourite! We were given numbers from 1 to 25. i got number 1! :D The objective of the game was for me to pass a stuffed toy tiger to 2 and pass all the way to 25, then back to me. Evryone was in a diffferent position. Still got timing. Then u can see the tiger flying through the air. Poor tiger, got hit many times. Lols! We did it in 55 seconds! ((: Then Jacq pulled out another stuffed toy. Now while the tiger goes from 1 to 26 ( Yuanting came ), the cow must go from 26 to 1. Very very fun! :D Then everyone was like shouting and shouting. Then the challenge was to do it in 15 seconds. This time everyone was sitting in a circle. Jacq keep on ka ciao! Haha! Then after learning about dreams, we continued. Now we had to do it in 5 seconds. Qiuyi and Yuanting was 2 and 26, so they stood and ran then threw the toy back at me. And we did it! ((: Then it became 1 second. By this time i was exhausted. We discussed, and it ended up having me to stand in the middle, and move my hands so evrybody can touch then say im done! Very, very fun laa! :D & of course we did it!

The last part was talking about the SIP, and how are we going to work towards it. Some of us was going to present it to the principal. Many things to do, so little time! Afterwards, ChuPing, YuanTing, Lile, Fionna and i stayed back to discuss about CCA Open House. Its held on the second week of school reopening. Alot of things to do! Hais. As Fionna said, this is my responsibility. So im going to make it a success. Then, Lile, Fionna and i went to Hougang Point for dinner, and discussed about the banner and souvenirs. We even went NTUC to see, but hard la. Hope to get more members next year. We seriously need it.

Yesterday, i went for a get-together at my mother's boss place. It was a comfortable gathering with her, my family and a good friend of hers. We were quite shy meeting him for the first time. But as time trickled by, he began to intrigued me.

He was a jack of all trades. He was born in Singapore in 1931, and went on to study in Australia. He became a learned man, his first job being a school teacher in a kampong village. He excelled in geography, history and chinese. He can answer and verify any doubts that you have. He went on to become an apprentice accountant. After which, he became the deputy director of finance in the Ministry of Defence. He went on to be posted to Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, police force, hospitals and POSB. He inherited land in M'sia, and converted it to a rubber estate, palm oil and durian plantation. He sold it at the beginning of this year. This 75 year old man's mind is still active, but Parkinson's Disease has slowed him down.

Mr Tan Han Meng is now living alone with a maid to care for him. He talks fondly of his papaya trees that he planted in his garden. Ever heard of Tuesdays With Morrie? Although i have never read it, i knew its storyline. This man reminds me of Morrie. The next time i see him would be in his house. I hope to learn more of his background and learn more about life.

I'm back from Malacca already! (: The trip was really really really fun. Everyday there would always be things to do and new things to learn. Choir also bonded and is not like before! We are now stronger and ready for SYF! :D

On the first day, we met in school at 6.30. I slept late the night before so couldnt wake up. Then everyone arrived and we saw Baby Tanya. So cute! The trip to immigration and till we reached Malacca was so long la! It made us feel bored; so we sang songs. (: Then we alighted at Jaya Jusco, to shop for things like cup noodles so we could eat in the night. This was the first encounter. ((: We reached WaterFront City Resort quickly soon after. My room mates were Layyen, Lifang, Phillina, Fionna and Cassandra. We were so excited! We went up to the apartment and it was so big. There were 3 rooms but evrybody decided to sleep in the master bedroom together. We unpacked and went for lunch.We had session with the clinician Mr Arwin Tan. He was very lively. (: We had practice sessions and after dinner, had the concert A Timeless Noel. Those X'mas songs were so powerful evrybody sang along! After that, we had a committee meeting and then i went to spot check all the rooms. I slept at 12.30.

On the second day, we had breakfast, then warm-ups with Foong Foong. It was second encounter! Same block too! :D After that we had a session with Dr Wong Su San. It was very fun! It was followed by a session with Mr Joshua Habermann. He helped us alot with pitching. And some people said he was handsome. lols! Then we broke into sectionals and Altos came to my room. We practice the Disney songs because we were performing tonight. It was last minute and abit nerve wrecking for us. We had dinner, than went for the concert; Colours Of The World. We were the choir to open the concert. So scary! But when we started singing, it became easier. :) As usual had meeting, then spot check then slept late.

The third day was hectic. We had to check whether the gowns were ironed properly for the last concert. Most of the time we had free time to rest our voice. Many people were losing their voices already, so Yuanting went around giving vitamin Cs. After dinner we had a last minute practice then went to the ballroom. It was scary la, cos we were the last choir to came in. Then evryone start to scared already. We were the second to perform. Evryone was so tense. We didnt want to disappointed Mr Foong. Especially when TKSS was there and he was their co-conductor. Im really proud of the choir. They really put in effort. (: Hope we can get more ppl during the CCA open house. At night we celebrated with a party. It was our last day. Third encounter on stage! (:

Last day was rush. We had to pack up and assemble after breakfast. My apartment was the slowest because we were tired from talking till morning. Fourth encounter in the foyer! (: Presumably the last. ): Then we went to Jonker Street. It was damn hot and evrybody didnt want to do anything. We went to Mahkota next. It wasnt very big, but i bought many things there for my family. Fifth encounter! ((: Then we gathered and left for Singapore.

Wow.. Its first of December already. Soon, Orchard Road will be packed with shoppers for Christmas. :D Im dreading, but at the same time enticipating for it. I can't wait becaouse i cant get presents!! (: But 25th December means its an end to 2006 and the beginning of O Levels. ): My cousin told me there will be no more 3 months waiting for our batch. We will get our results early and start school immediately in January 2008. )): sian..

During the holidays, im always busy with choir. Choir, choir, choir. Even when im sleeping i dream of choir. I really hope we can get a gold in SYF ' 07. Last year, choir was the only performing arts group to get a silver. The rest got gold. Its disappointing but im sure we can do better! (: To my juniors, i hope u would enjoy singing. That's why we are in choir. Don't be discouraged and strive to do better! Im off to M'sia for a chorale festival from the 4th to the 7th of Dec. I hope this trip would let us bond together. This is an opportunity for us to practice and consult good clinicians. Jiayou choir! (:

I've been busy preparing for this trip with the rest. Rooming list, leader's duty list, buying the boys's ties, planning games. Today, i was at Hougang Point having my lunch and discussing the team- building games. Although its tiring having to wake up twice or thrice a week at 8, its still worth it when i see the choir having fun. We bought many prizes, then sat at Macdonalds` wrapping the presents. It was terrible, but fun. :)

Another highlight of my holiday was the PAL3 camp. I was having doubts about the camp but it blew me away. It was even better than PAL2. :D I made many new friends like Ain, Huda, Felicia, Fiona.. It was the second day's game that left an impact on me. I will never forget how we walked through the rope. There were five levels, each difficult than before. But we did it! :D Im so proud of PAL3! Hooligans` rocks too. :) And i also had an embarassing moment during the game.. I can't believe im so stupid to run ahead first .. I cringed when i saw the video.. Lols..

After the trip, im going to start studying already. I must try to pass the Amaths retest.. >.< O Levels are also nearing.. Its going to be four years ago that i first stepped into Bowen. How time flies! -grins
